Grozdanovski Kiro
Georgi Hadzhi was born in Krushevo, Ser region, in 1909. At the time
of the Nazi occupation he took an active part in the struggle against
the occupier. After the Varkiza agreement he was followed and sent to
jail. When he was released he joined the ranks of DAG and fought heroically.
He rose through the ranks to the role of company commander and was killed
on 28 December 1948 in Pozdam, Ser region.
Georgi's whole family was dedicated to the fight for liberation of
the homeland. His wife and his two children all joined DAG. His son
was captured by the enemy and lay in prison for many long years. His
daughter Ana, who served in the 132nd brigade of DAG, was killed in
Belasica at the age of 18.
