The Macedonian Genocide
The key event in the Macedonian Genocide was the invasion of Ottoman
Macedonia by the Greek, Bulgarian, Serbian and Montenegrin armies in
1912-13. The historical consequences continue to this day as the Macedonian
Cultural Genocide and the denial of Macedonian ethnic identity by Greece
and Bulgaria. These links explore the Macedonian Genocide and Macedonian
Cultural Genocide by key historical periods.
