Blazhe Petrov was born in the village of Bobica, Kostur region.
He had a rebellious spirit; he could not tolerate injustice and it
caused him to leave his old mother and father, his fiancé, and
join the ranks of DAG. He was a decisive and fearless partisan. In the
battle on Grevena his comrades had stepped back because of the pressure
of the enemy but not Blazhe. He knew what it would mean to give up that
location and so he waged battle alone and heroically struggled against
several enemy fighters. In that battle he was killed, meeting his obligation
to his people.
